The hotel charged our credit card 2 days before arrival despite this was not supposed to happen. We were given a room in a sort of basement very humid and smelly for 95 dollars. The staff at the counter unwilling to provide a better accomodation. The photo is the view from the window.

I spent a wonderful weekend (13-14 Aug 2016) at Hotel Sunray. The staff was exceptional. Helpful, courteous, pleasant and very accommodating. The food was excellent. I would highly recommend Hotel Sunray, I myself would not think twice about staying there again.

Sunray Hotel is set in the cultural heartland of Sri Lanka just 1 km from the ancient Temple of the Tooth. It features clean and comfortable guestrooms and free Wi-Fi access is available at all public areas.
