Was recommended by the hostess at another restaurant as one of the best places for paella in Valencia. We took her advice and went there for lunch (much busier for dinner and usually requires a reservation). Multi-tiered layout with sleek modern decor a little bit off the beaten track from the hubbub of the central Plaza Reina. Food and service were excellent. Many choices of paella, from traditional Valencian with chicken and rabbit to seafood (our choice). Complimentary bread with salsa and olives and a couple of tapas provided as starters. Shared a delicious carpaccio appetizer. Paella lived up to billing. All seafood items were peeled save for a couple of decorative langostinas on the top. Another nice touch at the end of the meal was a complimentary glass of Sauterne-like white dessert wine as a digestive (maybe they thought we were food critics?) ;-) Total cost with 4 glasses of Cava was less than we had paid for many lesser-quality meals in other establishments.

Had to book ahead, but worth it. Unpretentious but good paella, wine, very friendly and efficient waiter. We came in when the service started, at 20:30, and all had a great time. We followed most of the waiter's recommendations (some of which were spontaneous) and weren't disappointed.

The food was excellent, but we got bad service from one waiter there. Basically, we order a sort of paella, they gave us another sort of paella and since we refuse, the waiter was "bitchy" all time as if it was our fault.
But other than that, the food was very tasty!

Lovely experience. Lovely waiters. I dined solo and ordered the Paella Valencia, even though the menu says min 2 pax. It's looks like an bigger meal than it is but I wouldn't order starters unless you a ravenous- if you are a solo. If I was two I would have ordered in a much more gluttonous manner.
The paella is amazing. Rich and salty. 10/10 would come again.
