This place is much, much better than you might expect from seeing it outside. The under-street excavations are very extensive and there's lots of auto-visuals guides (including English) to explain what you're looking at. The glass-floor over deep well is a typical surprise. Well worth the few euros entrance.

This museum contains the excavated ruins of old Valencia which you can walk around. It also has lots of artifacts and a good amount of information.

It is behind the cathedral. The museum shows much of the ancient Roman city. It's very interesting, unfortunately not everything is translated into English

I simply love this place!! You can see archaeological ruins and artifacts from Visigoth and Muslim periods.

An archeological site of an ancient Roman city, as for me - it is really impressive. The most interesting about the exposition is the glass roof which provides natural light and is covered with water, so people outside think that the city lays under water! The illusion is very realistic. Surprisingly, many people making photos by the side of this handmade lake don´t even notice what is underneath; even some local residents have no idea... If you are really interested in history, architecture, history of art – buy an entrance ticket (it is cheap) to see the Roman city inside. If your interests are not so specific – just enjoy the view looking underwater.
