Stayed here for a week but wasn't that impressed.
Pros - staff at reception were nice (but couldn't tell us what the local bus plan said...) it was cleaned and mopped daily, even the balcony. There was English music played at pool (but mainly during day) the hotel was only a about 5mins away from beach and pubs. At around 12pm there was a dancing class in the pool. The pool area was decent sized and so was the pool.
Cons - maid tried to kick us out of room when she wanted to clean it, the probably understood us but she only spoke in Spanish. Breakfast (as we didn't do lunch or dinner) was varied but boring, nearly the same every morning and it was usually cool, they didn't have much entertainment at all (the English music they played during day seemed like a cd stuck on repeat) they Had couple of kids disco and singer 1night, a dance act 1 night and DJ the others (I say DJ but played the same Spanish music every night till till 12 and only had like 2 English songs played) if you plan on staying up all night your sorted but if not, ask for a room facing away from the pool (trust me) when they cleaned rubbish out the pool, they dumped it behind a tree. The kids play area (chute etc) looked like it hadn't been cleaned in years. If you don't want to take the long road round the hotel it up a steep incline. Bar staff look fed up and only serve in half pints (1.60) the rooms were bland and very basic. It was 10e to get the remote for the TV. Beds were a little uncomfy, mattress was very thin. There is no baggage storage available and the lifts are atrocious - a good 5mins waiting on them, staff also use them and usually clog them up with trolleys and bags.
Overall, it cheap and is a good location but it wasn't for me, there isn't a shortage of hotels so do your research, if you want somewhere to sleep and party your sorted but if you want a nice relaxing getaway, I don't recommend it.

I've given the hotel 4 stars but can't really fault the place. The staff are very helpful and pleasant. It is kept clean and tidy, the rooms are largish enough room for 3 single beds. The entertainment we have not yet seen but all in all I would recommend the Santa Monica.

nice place to stay food lovely staff pleasant and helpful I would recommend this hotel and would stay here again but would fly to resus airport as it's closer

Staffs were very helpful, Hotel perfect for all ages, rooms very clean and big. Very close to beach ,shops and restaurants, pool amazing. The only problem I didn't liked about the hotel was the food because the food was just the same every morning and night. Overall I would come back to this hotel
