A wonderful and historic spot. We really had great service, the prices are typical, and the suckling pig was delicious. We did make a reservation in advance, and we where seated early. Would recommend this spot for its history, ambiance, and great meal.

Visited the 300+ yrs old famous restaurant when I was in town but mostly are tourists and crowded. The Restaurant is a three story building including the basement. We were eating in the basement and very unique atmosphere eating there. We ordered ordered Ibram Ham, grilled Pawns, suckling pig and of course, Sangria. Bread and water are charged as expected in Madrid everywhere. Food is okay, no complaint about service. Worth a visit if you have extra time in Madrid.

It's amazing to think you are seating in such an historic restaurant! The service is very good and the atmosphere as well. The house menu is very satisfying for one person and can be too much food. The price for the house menu is 45 euro. The food is good but not the greatest. I would definitely recommend the place!

The heritage and history of this building is outstanding. Certainly worth a visit! We got their famous suckling pig and also the squid in ink. The pig didn't have much meat on the bone and and squid was very salty without much other taste. However the squid texture was perfect and the pig taste was a 4/5. We were quite torn on the rating as the building experience is a 5 but the food was a 3.
