it may not look it but the plates without rice can feed two people... pretty large portion sizes... food is very very good... the price though is pretty large... paid 14 euro for the plate of meat.. idk how much the rice was... other than that i would say this was the best food we had in gran canaria

This is a expensive place in a secondary small street. I went with my Indonesian wife and no special treat was applied, only the woman, the cook (Ari) was good with her. She is a good woman, indonesian, the heart and soul of this place. Her husband, the barman is fake and very materialistic, not good man, is it normal to charge for a little tupper to take food? To charge for a little bit of spicy souce? To charge for a coup of fruit 7 euros as we are in the top floor of Tower Eiffel? Only the rice or the veggies have a reasonable price. If you are a vegetarian maybe you are happy. The rent of this place must be low, not as in las canteras beach restaurant, nevertheless he has no shame putting top prices. 14 euros a steak, 14 euros a squid tapa... Come on guys! She is a good woman but i am not coming back because of him. 9 euros a bakso? This is water, 4 meatballs and some veggies. No offers apply, only if you are student with simple dishes. They take advantage they are the only indonesian restaurant in las palmas, they need some competence in the area so they get more flexible. Not good treat! Expensive!

More cafe than restaurant, Casa Ari is one of Las Palmas' best Asian restaurants because it serves classic Indonesian food exactly the way it is cooked at home. The chef is Indonesian and you'll often find Indonesians in here when the cruise shoes are in port (ever wondered who's downstairs making them run? Now you know).
Portions are huge so order one main dish between two.
