I would feel ashamed to bring my Mexican friends here. Food is greasy, has weird flavors and it is not nice at all. Avoid at all cost.

Worst service yet. Exept for the guy who tried to grab my friends breast. But that's another story. 😤😭 sad because I love MX food 😢

We went tonight and it was Terrible! To start off with me and my boyfriend had some drinks, a pina colada and a strawberry margarita. Least to say I was disappointed with it after reading about the nice cocktails, it didn't taste right and didn't look right, the foam that sat on top was thick, it split with the alcohol seconds after having it on the table, then for food I had the small squid and calamari with something else on the dish that I didn't know what it was, and even though the squid was okay the other thing was like spam and it was soft and disgusting, didn't touch the rest of it. It came in a starter size. Not impressed. My boyfriend had a chicken burrito that was tasteless and bland, dry, no sauce or cheese in the burrito, he asked for no onions and repeated it to the waiter but still got onions!! "Best Mexican cantina" is false advertisement, since they've been open "approx 1492" they would have tailored their food and dining experience to be much more pleasant. It said that it was a taco bar but had barely anything on the menus about tacos. Please consider before you come here.

English menus are rubbish, ask for a Spanish menu and use Google translate if you are stuck. Portions are quite large. The room we were given was all the way in the back and had no escape routes in case of fire. Solid stone walls with no softening made the room really noisy. Hard to talk to people two chairs away. Staff was kind of friendly, but they were also a bit busy and could have been more helpful. The chicken wings should have been slightly more cooked to be sure to avoid salmonella.
The food was OK, but the kids complained that the BBQ sauce was different from what they were used to (a bit spoiled I guess?). There are plenty of excellent places to eat in Alicante; I will not be coming back here. Although the place was full of locals, so apparently the locals don't agree with me :-)
