My bike was stolen on th 19th of July. I got hold of the assesor Morne on the 3rd of August and communicated with him until the 8th of September. Neil Van Wyk found my bike in Mozambique but IUM decided to pay me out rather. Then the payout had -10% basic excess and -10% theft excess. I had to first go see a lawyer and double check with my broker before I decided to take matters into my own hands and send a personal email direct to IUM. IUM changed the payout to -10% for theft only. I'm now the proud owner of the iumsucks.co.za domain for a whole year if anyone is interested, look me up.

HA!! The plot thickens!! Submitted a third party claim. Received notification that i should give them 30 days to assess the claim.
Phoned them after 40 days and was told that the claim could take up to 6 months!!
