Original Review: Vibe is okay, service is slow (noticed a lot of reviews mentioned this), food was alright, but value doesn't hold up. For the same price of some of these dishes you can have a much better time in Cape Town. It's not that they're necessarily expensive, it's just that the food doesn't quite match the price.
I know this will confuse some of you, so here is an example: the prawns and calamari are R185 as of writing this review. The calamari was tough and overcooked, the prawns are the cheap, stuck to the shell variety. I've had far better meals at Ocean Basket and they charge R145 for an entire seafood platter and the quality of food is better.
The ribs are okay, I was hoping they could redeem themselves with their smokers (since seafood is understandably not their thing), but this too was nothing special. The price on the full rack is R175 at time of writing which is a pretty good deal for ribs, but again, even for that price it's just really average. And they give you a plastic apron upon ordering. Cute, if that's your thing.
Some of the cocktails are nice, some not so. It was just a very meh experience and inconsistent throughout. It's not a terrible restaurant and if you are residing in Century City and you don't want to go to the hassle of finding parking in the city and you're in search of a smokehouse, it's an okay bet.
I read good things on the steak, so I'll go back and update the review if the steak blew me away.

Had an absolutely awesome experience here taking family from out of town. I don't know if I'm reading too much into this but they literally changed everything about the experience, the service was insane, the food was really good as long as you stick to their specialties which the waiters will inform you on. I would normally give them a 4 star review but it actually seems like they actively take criticism to heart and for that they deserve a 5. Really worth the visit.

Incredible food, great service. Highly recommend this restaurant. I had the southern fried chicken for starters and the baby back ribs. Definitely the best meal I've eaten in a long time.

Lovely restaurant with elegant style and decor. Great smoked spare ribs with very good side dishes.
Convenient parking, just past the front of Hotel Crystal Towers, which gets validated with your bill.

Knife is popular and can become rowdy whether it is busy or not (the sound damping is not good). It is a Steak House and have a cute tradition of having to eat your ribs with an apron. But they also offer a really good Vegetarian Burger and Risotto. Keep an eye out for the specials too that are not on the menus.
