This is the second time I have been here. First time the food was amazing so decided to give it another try. Quite horrible on the second try. We ordered the snack platter, starter mussels and a side veg. Snack platter has a fried hake (not well fried and very soft exterior), calamari (tender and soft but not well fried), ribs (very well roasted but not much spice or flavour), wings (flavourless and a bit burnt), chips and onion rings (also very poorly fried with soft exterior). Mussels were cooked to perfection, however, the creamy biltong sauce was not creamy at all and has no biltong flavour. It was more like milk with a some seasoning. Overall, all the food was not hot or has been sitting for a while so the fried foods are becoming soft and getting cold. Service was ok but waited very long after we asked for the bill. Our waiter was still serving other customers for 15 minutes after we asked for the bill. Won't be coming back any time.

Best chilled place for someone who wants to get some air off the townships, great music, great view and 5 star service.

Nice location. Large choice of cocktails including novelty Giant cocktails for sharing. Staff helpful but at early evening time no atmosphere and fairly empty.

Used to visit all the time when I was building the v&a hotel years ago. Went back on holiday last year and had to visit. Couldn't get a waiter for about 10mins. When we ordered it took ages ( 48min ) to get food. It arrived and looked microwaved didn't smell good. My steak was rotten as was two of the other meals. When I asked for the manager I was told she wasn't available. We sent the meals back and I visited the ablutions. Walking past the bar I heard a gentleman say " oh so you the manageress ". I tried talking to her and was told that the waitress would sort it out. Won't visit again or recommend. Plenty of lovely pubs to go to
