It usually takes a lot for me to take the time out to sign on and complain about a business or it's employee's in general because we are all Human. My displeasure surrounds lack of customer liason skills when a representative of Nu Metro, Anelisa Qubula advises is (Myself and my Wife) after standing inline for approximately 5-7minutes to purchase tickets and snacks that their card facilities are currently offline and only cash can be accepted. There was no intent of assisting us (in expectation of us just walking away) despite customers paying by card in the other two lines and only after we expressed our angry and unwillingness to go back to an ATM to get cash and wait another 5-7minutes in the line they moved us over to an available card machine (in a very sarcastic manner). Please Nu-metro, consider customer liason skills as a required skill when you do recruitment or consider providing training to upskill employees. Thanks

Nu metro in canal walk isn't the best but also it isn't the worst like all these people describing maybe you had one bad experience with Nu metro I've been to many other Nu metros and honestly if you just want to watch the movie dont be one of those spoiled bratz who buys VIP and then expects them to bring you food as soon as you ask because remember there are other movies playing as well so rather come an hour before your movie get your ticket chill for a bit then get your pop corn then go in and if you still don't like it them you may leave but don't come write a bad review because of one bad time I've had lots of fun at Nu metro so I would like to say thanks Nu metro for doing a great job

Tickets and snacks are overpriced. Long lines and almost always one or two people working. Functions like a normal cinema.

The sound isn't balanced properly in any of the cinemas. Toilets are consistently out of order. Manager on duty has been dismissive and disinterested when we've had to go out to report problems with the screen or sound.

The girls and I always go to the "Ladies Nights" at Nu Metro at Canal Walk and normally great fun. Tuesday's ladies afternoon was a total disaster!!! It was supposed to be "High Tea before movie. They had some cups (some of them paper) no sugar no milk!! Some girls were lucky enough to get a miserable biscuit. We paid R115 a ticket. No Nu Metro that's not how things are done! The movie (Beauty and the Beast) was quite wonderful but Nu Metro's version of High Tea left a bitter taste in our mouths. The staff needs serious training on how to handle customers too Apparently the sponsors did not come to the party. So where was plan B?????? Real pity .... wont be doing that again!!
