Being an engineering student Praktiker is the most convenient place in the area I could go. Ofcourse there are some things harder to find, but whenever I need something for my home, or a project I always go there first. I don't have a garden but if I had I'd still go there first. And if you don't find what you need there... Well... You don't have many alternatives. Also, the staff seems quite friendly, at least to me :)

Poor service. People working there are not so kind or available. Some shelves are left with goods thrown around. Not looking so good. The parking lot is horrible.

It's one of the best supplied home improvement stores in the city. Although the parking lot is pretty unmaintained and you risk breaking your car's suspensions if you go faster than 5kmph it's still a great alternative to the other stores in Galati.
