Worst hotel experience ever.
Dark haired 'Director' on the front desk changed the price twice on the room extension and doubled the price on check out for a 15min international phone call.
To top it off I asked for an express check out - "please charge the last night to my credit card I must catch the train". Upon leaving I was unlawfully stopped by hotel security at the Directors request and the police were called - they could not believe it when they arrived. I never refused (in fact gave permission) to pay but this was his reaction!
No apology on payment and I had to spend 4 hours waiting for the next train.
A real shame as the other employees in the Hotel were quite lovely.

Arriving by pre-booked shuttle from the airport, it took around 60-70 minutes from Faro. We were allowed into our room 4 hours earlier than the official check in time, we were met by a very welcoming reception and clean throughout. Our twin room was very spacious with a well stocked kitchen, there was next to no noise in the evening and very comfortable beds made for a good night sleep. The hotel is right on the marina with a number of bars and restaurants within 2 minutes walk, for the centre of Lagos maybe a 15 minute walk. Recommended stay, would have no problem coming back whatsoever.

Located just over an hour from Faro airport in the car. Welcoming reception, large apartments with lounge/kitchen and balcony across both the lounge and bedroom. Our room was ready when we arrived so we were allowed to check in early. Free wi-fi in the apartment. Located right by the marina so some lovely views only a short walk away but a bit further to the main town/restaurants/beaches (probably 15-20 minutes walk). Located in the quieter part of town. Large pool area with lots of loungers. Overall very pleasant experience.

Although a nice hotel there was little comfort in either the rooms or balcony every bit of seating was hard plastic. The sun loungers had seen better days. The restaurant food was good but the restaurant lacked any atmosphere. The staff were friendly and helpful and the location was good. Will not be rushing back to stay again though.

I never though I could find such a condescending management.
Luckily I stayed here only for two nights,
at first we could immediately appreciate the drain pipes of our shower and bathroom: we loved having a shower in our own water because they could not drain...........
At night unpredictable alarms from the bottom of the building (from an unreachable technical area) woke us up at 3AM, extraordinary experience !!! However, I did not know he best had yet to come.
The following night I thought I could feel better turning on the air conditioning..... what a bad idea: it did not work!!!!! Could you immagine what a night we had!!!!!! Portugal In June can really make you feel the heat !
When, in the morning, I asked to speak with the manager, she did not even bother to interrupt her coffee beak she was having. Through the receptionist, let us know we would had to wait for indefinite time for her to come back or we would have had to send an email in order to receive official apologies.
I did not find a reason to write the mail, neither the time to complain.... somehow I dot understand how such a manager can not comprehend the meaning of her rule..
I only hope someone can read my experience and, perhaps, pick a different place to stay.
