Fantastic food at this place,well worth the trek to find it!A very friendly place,where the locals eat,says it all!Great value delicious food,steak kebabs or chicken with home cooked chips and lovely salad.Wine was excellent, with recommendations from the waiter.Off the beaten track,but traditional Madeiran food at its best.Opens at 6 ,and soon got very busy quickly!Might be worth booking if there are more than two of you!

Worth getting up to this place to avoid the repelling encouragement of the tourist traps down in the harbour.
A small and very friendly local place with a perfectly simple menu. You can pretty much have meat on a stick or chicken on a plate, we went for the plated option against the trend but either looks good. Don't be put off by the exterior, inside is decent.
