A bit worn out. Maybe better in the spring. The bus ride - public transport- was the best experience.

I love this botanical park. 😍 colors flowers banana tree palmier .... and you use the second câble car. warning for the latest.

Being horticulturally qualified it was lovely to see all the plants that we consider back home in England as houseplants or tender plants to to be growing as shrubs or climbers here. It is an amazing place and would recommend the gardens to anybody. I have a slight disability and found access to the gardens not to difficult.

Pretty gardens. Not the best I have seen but if you enjoy nature and the surrounding scenery you should visit.

Not a huge garden compared to some bigger cities, so if you are expecting to see spectacular garden, you will be disappointed. However, still very lovely to visit! It's located up a hill so you get several nice vantage points overlooking Funchal. Several areas for cacti, succulents and herbs/medicinal/aromatic plants (we found this to be most interesting). We spent about 2 hours here. There are at least two buses going here, just check the schedule since they aren't super frequent.
