It is an old church which is relatively dark inside. The small windows aren't decorated. Due to the dark wooden ceiling the church looks even darker. Funchal is small, you will probably come by, so have a look inside.

This Cathedral tells a great deal of stories. Has survived since the last 15th century. One in a very few. Talk to the priest about its history.
