November 3,2017 I open an account and it was my first time to open an account to this bank. According to their website for you to be able to open an account just need to bring 2 valid ids to one of the BDO branch's near you.
However, this branch required me 2 1x1 picture and a utility bill, which become hassle as we need to go back and forth to get and bring those additional requirements that were not mentioned unto their website, aside from that they let me fill up plenty of form, even my employment or source of income which isn't available, I need to think of something, so I ended up adding the online advertising agency where I am earning not much, just enough to support my web domain and hosting of my websites just to complete their form. I was also asked questions, such as what country I live before, when did I arrive tacloban, if are we going to stay at tacloban for long term, etc. Minimize your mistakes in filling up the form, such as erasures, or even bold letters and so on, because I was told to put my signature on top of those.
Opening an account took so long and toilet wasn't available for the clients, but good thing is, just some minutes after my son said he need to pee, finally the processing of my bank account is done. However, unlike other banks here in tacloban you can get your ATM card at once, but this bank you can get it after 7 working days.
Anyway, BDO is one of the top banks in the Philippines the reason we tried opening our bank account there.
