This place is great! You really get the feel of an old, traditional picanteria and the food is great. Definitely ask what the menu of the day is, and get it with chicha de jora. I liked that this place still has the cozy feel of a small picanteria but it has so many tables that you won't have to wait long to sit.

Local restaurant with local Food. It is highly unlikely that you will run into other tourists there. Only local people which adds to the charm of this place.

Excellent Arequipeño food with great variety. Price is reasonable and the portion is huge. Many locals visit this restaurant during lunch time. We ordered Locro de Pecho and Chupe de Camarones. The latter one tastes especially good.
