Didn't stay here just spent an afternoon at the little bar but the staff was very friendly, the vibe was super chill, and the drinks were great. Try the lemongrass mojito.

Bed bugs, sand flies, & mosquitoes.. pick your poison. I moved in and was immediately getting bit, the staff told me it was sand flies. After 2 nights I discovered the entire room was crawling with bed bugs or "chinches". Only as I was leaving another guest casually mentioned that she had been staying in the same bed before I came, but had gotten bed bugs so the staff moved her. (And then put me in the same bed?!) There is an issue with bedbugs specifically at this hostel as I heard the same story many times in bocas.
The rainwater collection system is inadequate as there was only running water in the hostel for a few hours out of my four day stay. This means no showers, Washington the dishes, or flushing the toilets as well. The only time I got water was when I overheard the staff talking in Spanish about the pump behind the building, at which point I would rush to the shower and fill up extra water bottles to wash my face with later. Uncomfortable beds.
The bar is a little overpriced in my opinion and you're not allowed to keep outside alcohol or beers in the fridge so they kinda have you by the balls.
A beautiful location, easy to catch a boat from and walking distance to surf careneros, but a spot best enjoyed in a daytime visit. The restaurant serves decent food.

Excellent Hostel. They got surfboards. Quant little bar area. Excellent French Fries. The adorable stray dogs speak Spanish. Give them a French Fry and be amazed!
