Es un lugar increíble para los amantes del buen gusto, para disfrutar de un descanso al estilo colonial y los placeres de la bella ciudad de Granada!

I spent four nights here. This is a gorgeous old (huge) home, with a more modern wing, converted into a hotel. The location is excellent, just about 1-1/2 blocks away from the main square, and just past the plaza is the cathedral and a long street lined with restaurants, bars, hotels, massage spas, gift shops, etc. The hotel itself is fronted by a fairly small bar and a reception area in a garden-like courtyard with a pretty fountain. There is plenty of comfortable seating around this courtyard, which connects to a much larger inner courtyard where the swimming pool and the restaurant are located, along with more seating. Around this courtyard are guest rooms, on the ground level and a second level.
My room, right next to the pool, was enormous, with two full beds in a huge space in which I could have held a party for all the other guests. It contained nice old furniture, including a small armoire with a large, secure metal safe and coat hangers.
The bathroom contained two areas, each the full length of the room, with a toilet and sink area (good amount of counter space) in the first area and a shower you must see to believe in the second area. This shower, with a cobblestone floor, was so huge that it essentially had a dressing area, with a small wooden table. I had lots of nice hot water and plenty of room in which to dry off, put lotions on, and dress! To top it off, the wall of this shower area was decorated floor to (high) ceiling with a beautiful painted mural of jungle foliage and macaws. This wall, however, does not extend all the way up to the high roof. It is open to the adjoining room, so I heard lots of water running (my friend showering). This did not bother me, but what did was the sound of festive firecrackers (ubiquitous in Central America) at night. In my room I did not hear any noise from people outside, but the guests were pretty mellow.
The pool is big, more than enough to do some swimming, and the best end of the day to cool down after long day walks. There are three lounge chairs with padding and two other padded chairs.
The dinner we had there was excellent, but, looking at the menu for possibly eating on my own dime, it seemed a bit pricey. Not out of line for a touristy area, but more than I would expect in a developing country.
Breakfast is chosen off the menu and is served, rather than a buffet.
My only issue was that there was only one towel, but asked at the reception desk and was quickly and graciously given what I needed.
I very highly recommend this lodging.
