Equipment is tired, rubber handles on cable machines especially are falling apart and sticky from being so old. Rubber coating on plates has chipped off. Tricep ropes have almost worn through. Gym has been "in renovations" since 2016, they closed for a few days over xmas/NY but nothing changed. I've been to over 15 anytime fitness gyms and Riccarton is probably the worst maintained of any ATF. The PTs seem nice but the other comments are correct that the office staff don't seem friendly. I would give 1.5 stars if it was an option

Great gym. They have all the equipment you'd need and its new and well maintained. Staff are friendly and helpful.

Sufficient equipment but impolite staff, they never greet you. The only thing i receive are stares from them. It makes me feel uncomfortable, now i only go there if i really need to use the equipment that is unavailable at Anytime Fitness Christchurch Airport. Anytime Fitness Riccarton should really solve this problem as i could see from other people's reviews that I'm not the only one feeling the same way. I've been attending this gym since February this year and it has always been the same.You guys should learn to be polite like how the staff members who's currently working at Anytime Fitness Christchurch Airport. They'll greet you and say goodbye when you leave!! I'm not trying to be rude here but please, can the staff members in Anytime Fitness Riccarton at least smile when they see us?
