Good coffee and complimentary shot of local conjum. Lovely brake from walking among the mills. The apple pie was good also.

Food is delicious. But although we have asked for cakes, tea and water. But the waitress did not allow us to put a "small" bottle of water that we have purchased from another shop on the the restaurant table. Weird 😒

Located close to the major spots in Zaanse Schans. Limited menu, but reasonably good food. Friendly service.

Understaffed sandwich place. 30 min after having ordered, we asked where were our sandwiches, no reply but they were apparently confused as the cook then started to make the sandwiches, although one was missing which we had to ask again. Same for paying: after asking three times the bill to waitresses and waiting 15 minutes, we went to interrupt the busy barman to finally get the bill. No excuse from the staff, but that's part of Dutch culture. And sandwiches were not worth the price... A tourist trap.

Great place to sit, and watch locals, and tourist alike enjoy the beer, food, and staff company. The place can be sometimes very busy, but they are always very helpful, even with some of the most rudest tourists ive met.
The owner is very polite, and always willing to give help and advise, and is very passionate about his locally produced liquir, we have tried several, and it was very high quality. Will go back many times :)
