Great place!
Fantastic food, with our favorite Peking Duck.
Very nice and tasty selection of drinks.
Reasonably priced.
Good ambiance with also beautiful patio/garden where you can eat and if necessary can provide dry shelter with an foldable roof over the entire garden.

I went to Opium last weekend with a friend who had been multiple times. It was my first time (of several, I hope), and I thoroughly enjoyed it.
Since we didn't have a reservation and it was a busy Saturday, we ate in the garden outside. Even though it was freezing cold (-2°C) outside, they had a tent covering and kept it well heated. We took our jackets off and were quite comfortable.
The food was pretty good. Most of the menu options seem to contain some sort of fish (which I don't like), but the dish I chose, pork fillet, was light and tasty.
Most of the dessert options were also not to my tastes, but I'm not a crème brulée fan (for example). I had the chocolate brownie which came with a "side" of sliced strawberries. Not bad.
The service experience was certainly a few notches above the Dutch national average. Everyone spoke English pretty well, and they even had English menus.
Lastly, a tip based on my friend's plan. After dinner, we walked a block to cinema, City Movies. This worked out perfectly. Dinner at Opium and a film: a good evening right there!
