Excellent service. Friendly staff. Only downside is: this is in the heart of Utrecht, and they have no parking lot where you can drop off the car at any time. So try to avoid rush hours for pick-up/drop-off.

Reliable company. Got a brand new Mazda CX-3 to drive around with and had a lot of fun. Great experience, will definitely visit again.

We rented an Opel Vivaro 9 seat mini-bus to go skiing in Austria. The vehicle was comfortable, economical and had enough power for the German highway. There were quite a number of small dents and scratches but these didn't reduce utility.
At the time of booking 2 months before, we specifically requested a vehicle with WINTER TYRES and paid an surcharge of Eur 152 for this. However, Sixt actually supplied a vehicle WITHOUT winter tyres. They took our money but didn't tell us this, which is quite unacceptable. At the destination in Austria the vehicle couldn't climb a slippery road and that's when we noticed that it didn't actually have winter tyres fitted. According to the Austrian ministry of transport site, driving on summer tyres in wintery weather is illegal and can occur a substantial fine if other road users are endangered and is a big problem in the event of an accident.
When I returned the vehicle they agreed that the vehicle was indeed fitted with summer tyres and returned the Eur 152 that they had wrongly charged. They also waived the fee of Eur 50 for the additional driver by way of compensation. This was better than nothing, but finally I will think twice before using this company again.
