Bad club and bad service! Everybody will be nice till you will sign the papers.
And in case you will need to cancel your abonnement they will ask so much documents and it will take so much time that you will get annoyed. For me it took 4 month to cancel it even if I showed all documents. And I payed for months that I was not even going there. And even after that they started to say they do not see the payments.
Seems like they just wanna you to pay and that's all.
Don't recommend to go train as well if you are looking forward to get trainers help. Even if they say that they have a stuff to help you with training program it is not true. At least you pay extra for that (starting price is from 600euros..). Better go to another sport clubs. Better located and with better prices.
Was expecting a lot from David Lloyd club as they are big company and suppose to have a good reputation! But you pay a lot per month and even get less what more cheaper clubs have.
I was so disappointed that even now when I moved to another country is the 1st sport club that I am not looking forward to go!

David Lloyd gym feels cozy, it is quiet and people look like the average person trying to stay healthy, not like obsessed gym rats that never allows you to use the machines.
There is plenty of room in the gym, and even tho machines are not the latest in the market, they allow you to workout just as well.
I signed up mostly for the pool. it is quite small, 20m, 3 lines, but enough for me to train 3-4 times per day, about 3k.
Group lessons are great. Some are extremely difficult to book because of their demand (group cycling is almost impossible), but there's variety and trainers are well suited for the job.
I haven't tried the Squash courts yet, so i can't say anything about that.
Overall I'm happy with it. It could improve in some aspects, but nothing deal breaker.

first of all, I saw people crack other people's code locks. Didnt know anyone got their stuffs stolen. Second, I saw bunch of old Dutch people steal other people's underwear in the shower. Its very weird club, dont think i will visit again.

Man man man, this is poor on every level. First of all the club is in decline badly, broken equipment, much annoyance when they actually do perform maintenance (when a few showers were repaired for instance you had to shower in the other ones that were covered in blue plastic with construction workers walking around...) and overal many things were dirty.
Secondly, if you register you get almost weekly emails about how there is a fantastic deal when you also register your friends but never any loyalty deals showing gratitude for being a member (Im a member for almost 2 years now). However when you want to cancel your membership this is not possible through the website, email or even over the phone but has to be in writing(!) Considering it's 2013, that is no way to treat your customers, even when they are leaving.
In general, this is one of the most expensive gyms in Rotterdam, but delivers one of the cheapest experiences.
