The best museum I ever visited. You can not only see everything, but also try train in action. Works really good in combination with steam boat. This museum you will be stupid not to visit

A great place to spend a day for adults & especially kids. A stream train ride from Hoorn to Medemblik though lovely flower fields & country side. Then a ride in old ship from Medemblik to Enkhuizen. Best part, it is free for Museum card holders

This is rather a steam tram station which I would say. In a small room next to the cashier, there are a few small items to show the history of steam tram in the Netherlands. All the visitors will get on the steam tram in this station(museum??). And the steam tram will travel from Hoorn through Wogum, Twisk, Opperdoes and finally Medemblik. One can choose to return by tram or travel by ship from Medemblik to Enkhuizen. I went by ship and got off in Zuiderzeemuseum. It is one stop before Enkhuizen. It was a sunny and windy day and the sea was pretty and full of sailing boats. One should come back to travel by steam tram again.

It's awesome, both for kids and adults, you can have a steam train ride, then go by ship and go back by train. True Adventure for half a day, and museum card friendly. 5 stars.
