Wij hebben hier erg goed gegeten. Het restaurant is reset verbouwd en ziet er goed uit. De prijzen zijn wat aan de hoge kant, maat een bezoek zeker waard.

Eén van de betere visrestaurants in IJmuiden. Na de renovatie van vorig jaar een moderne, chique uitstraling gekregen. Voor jong en oud, familie en groepsdiners.

Very unprofessional and rude. We had reserved a table in advance and were seated as soon as we arrived. We were sitting for quite a while but no one even gave us menus, it was not busy either. I saw a stack of menus so I decided to grab enough for our group, a few second later the oldest waiter comes over and asks us what we would like to drink then straight away starts talking very aggressively towards me saying "you don't take the menus, that's my job, you don't take them, do you understand? There is a table there that has been waiting for 30 minutes, you wait for the menus." Obviously in a bit of shock that a waiter would talk to me like that i didn't say anything, i first thought it was a joke but he said it so rudely and aggressively. I lost my appetite but for the sake of not ruining a nice day and the others' experience, they convinced me to order something anyway. The waiter came back, someone from our group asked "what's good on the menu" so the waiter replied "well i couldn't give my speech because he took the menus, so i couldn't say the specials." At that point I told him there was a big stack of menus on the table behind him, and he just says "that's not the point".
In a professional and nice setting you would not expect that, maybe it was because he was old and slow that that's why it took so long and forced me to get the menus. That old waiter ruined the entire experience, i couldn't stop wondering why and how he could be so rude.
FYI, when we were finishing we saw another person grab menus for their table, a table that again the old man was supposed to be serving.

Lekker maar te duur voor de porties dat ze geven... Maar ik denk wel dat ze op hoger publiek doelen dan de gewone werkman...
