Another Fantastic Trek!
We're just back from another fantastic trek with Above the Himalaya; this time the Manaslu Circuit (after trekking to Everest Base Camp last time). Our guide and porter were excellent, as promised, the scenery was better than ATH said it would be and our transfer arrangements were faultless. We should have done this trek years ago.
We love trekking in Nepal and much of that is due to the fact that Above the Himalaya has never disappointed us. It's only a matter of time before we return. What's next? Mustang? Nar Phu Valley? Kanchenjunga? Makalu Base Camp? Dolpo? Whatever we choose, using Above the Himalaya to organise it is a no-brainer for us.

If you want a custom-made trip, Above the Himalaya Trekking is the company for you. Not being an experienced hiker, I was concerned that some of the hill-walking would be a stretch for me. I need not have worried! My son and I were considered and cared for at every step - Durga and Prakesh made sure we went at a pace we could cope with and also had the opportunity to interact with people in the villages through which we walked. Minu, in Kathmandu, was a knowledgeable and fun guide to spend time with. And Ari, our driver for much of the trip, was always prompt and made us feel totally safe on our travels. But, most of all, I cannot speak too highly of Puru, the Managing Director of Above the Himalaya, who met us each day in Kathmandu, ensuring that we were on board with our itinerary and that all was well. The whole two-week schedule went off without a hitch. All of the above ensured that we had a wonderful experience in this beautiful country!

Puru suggested a tour that suits very well. All the guides that were with us were very professional, they knew everything about Nepal´s culture and all the places we´ve been were wonderful. The people at the agency office were very polite, very competent. The guide Anju was great showing us all Kathmandu, the temples, the stupas, we loved her! And during the trekking, Phurba and Sunil were perfect, telling us all about the small villages and the local culture. Even going in a season considered not the best one to visit Nepal, we had lucky. The weather was great, it did not rained and we could see very clearly Anapurna South, Machapuchare, Annapurna III. Meeting the local people during the trekking was the most exciting experience. At, Buthan, the agency was also very good. Hope to come back very soon!

Just recently completed a 6 Day Annapurna trek with "Above the Himalaya Trekking" From the start Puru's responses to email were extremely quick and very throrough, he answered all questions very clearly. When we arrived in Kathmandu we were met at the airport as arranged and transferred to the hotel. Trekking permits were arranged the following day and we were given the e-tickets/hotel voucher for our overnight stay in Pokhara before we started our trek. Our guide Phurba and Porter were amazing, incredibly patient and nothing was too much trouble. Despite having bad weather at the start of our trek, it was one of the most amazing experiences and something we will never forget. Nepal is a stunningly beautiful country, if you are planning a trip it's definitely worth contacting Puru at Above the Himalaya Trekking to make the arrangements for you. Our return to Kathmandu was just as painless as the outward trip, everything very well organised and exactly as planned.
