Great staff- excellent service and very helpful. Good view of the pagoda. Had the best beef curry ever in the restaurant. Only comment for improvement is that bathroom needed a little TLC to bring it up to date.

Attended an event here. Staff is efficient. Food is decent. Wish they had more vegetarian options. The desserts are good. Washrooms are well managed.

In my opinion, this hotel offers subpar overall value for Yangon. The restaurant is priced similar to a higher end US hotel and the breakfast buffet is $15 per person. The food and the service were average, so it didn't justify the much higher price.
The hotel is not within a comfortable walking distance to any sights or restaurants. I'd recommend avoiding the higher priced balcony rooms unless you need a place to smoke or enjoy looking at construction and pigeon droppings. The gym is also very shabby... not something that you would expect in a 4.5 star hotel. Overall, i think this hotel may be better suited for business travelers rather than tourists. I've previously stayed at Jasmine Palace hotel and found it to be a far better value from the accommodation, facilities and dining standpoint. On a positive note, the room at the Rose Garden is good size and nicely furnished. I also liked the layout of the bathroom area.
