This is a very nice hotel with a beautiful pool area that includes two 1/2 Olympic-length swimming lanes. The staff are terrific, reception area has computers for guest use (and the hotel has free WiFi), they lend DVD movies to play on the in-room DVD player, the flatscreen TV has satellite channels with lots of channels, many in English - movie channels, Fox News and CNN. The hotel offers a free continental breakfast with a nice selection of fresh fruit, bread, pan dulce (Mexican sweet bread) and fresh coffee. There is a universal weight machine by the pool, and the property also has a restaurant. A great place to stay in Navojoa - the only thing that prevented it from getting 5 stars is that the bed in my room had an old, six-inch-thin mattress that was not comfortable. Still, highly recommended!

In June 2013 I stayed at the Hotel del Majo. It turned out to be a very pleasant experience, with staff going out of their way to accommodate unusual requests also.
As a Dutchman I had to ride bicycles for instance, which they helped me with. Also handy is the hourly shuttle around town, air conditioned because boy the heat in June is too much. You cannot walk around midday, the modern and clean pool turned out be a lifesaver and the only exercise option for me. Only down side of the pool is that outsiders can pay and visit it too, one of them stole my football. The pool is also covered by Wi-Fi.
The continental breakfast is nice with juice, tea, coffee, bread, fruits and yoghurts. The snack bar is right next to the pool and serves a large variety of Mexican foods such as tortillas made of corn or wheat. Not many vegetables, but that seems to be the case at other restaurants in Navajo too. These aren’t far anyway, as the hotel is very centrally located and the nearest supermarket you can reach on foot. Same goes for an ATM.
The rooms itself are covered by Wi-Fi as well, offer the usual amenities including air conditioning, and are well kept. The matrasses are quite hard though.
All in all a hotel that I’ll return to.
