I love visiting Bosque Colomos (only down side is no doggies allowed, I take my fur baby to Parque Metropolitano). There are two main entrances, one is located off Calle el Chaco and the other is on Avenida Patria. There is ample parking at both entrances and they charge a flat rate of $20 pesos (take coins) no matter how long you enjoy the park. If you enter via EL Chaco you will encounter paved trails, good lighting for early morning running (opens at 6am), the Japanese garden, exercise equipment, and a few seating areas and benches. I find that El Chaco side of Colomos is a good area for training if you enjoy hills, there are lots! If you enter via Avenida Patria you'll encounter horses for rent, basketball courts, exercise equipment, a cactus garden, gravel and dirt running trails, restrooms, and a few stands selling snacks and beverages. Regardless of the entrance you use the park is completely connected. Since I'm a petite female who runs alone I like to get to El Chaco early 6am or so because that side of the park is well lit and the rangers make me feel safe. Once the sun comes up I wind my way over to the dirt running trails along the Patria side of the park. You'll encounter horse mounted rangers keeping an eye on things. I can easily tackle a 15k training run without exiting the park.

Great for a getaway, a nice run or a picnic day. Lots of trees and nice walk paths

5k race, very interesting place to run, but elevations are very hard and long.

Enormous and beautiful. It's a great place to walk around and rest. There are thematic gardens and exercise areas. It's a natural reserve so, you can't take your dog nor your bike with you, I believe you can have picnics but I'm not sure.
There are horses and ponies that take you around and stands were you can buy food for the squirrels and the koi fish in the Japanese pond. A vere nice place.

Really cool, beautiful place, lots of things to see and you can breath a nice fresh air without the city noises, so peaceful just to hear sound of birds, trees and wind.
