The worse experience I never had with rental cars. It begins at the desk, the man was so unpolite. That’s the first thing.
We paid our reservation on the net. But he tried to cheat us, he wouldn’t give us the car, because we only have debit card !! He proposed to sell us a new assurance for 200€ and an extra deposit of 200€ ! After a few words , he accept finally to give the car with our assurance on our Visa card.
It continues with the baby’s seats we rent. We realize they were broken, but they don t care.
And now it is time to take the car, and another man show us the car, but he doesn’t want to note on the check up all the bumps around the car!!! He was also so unpleasant.

Avoid them as much as possible

Is anybody actually working in Malta. Called at least 20times no answer in 3 days . Can u at least tell me here how much should I keep in my debit card while I collect my car there was no certain info on terms and conditions about debit card. I ll come soon and don’t want to get last minute problem. Thank u !

Car was delivered to me damaged all over. I couldn't complain because there was nobody in the office when I returned after picking up the car from the car park. Nobody answered the phone for 3 days.
The fuel tank was half full although the contract said "full to full".
The final scam was that I got a 24 euro parking fine (not their fault) which I paid directly to the council immediately. Goldcar later billed me 78 euros as "administration" for doing literally nothing. Avoid.

Will never use these thieves again and can justify use of that word. We left the car at the airport on our return, did the check out (all OK, I had taken multiple photos both before and after so they wouldn't have any opportunity to question condition of vehicle) and then went across to the airport to check in for flight. Suddenly remembered we had left our Sat Nav plugged in the car. Obviously the machine would have started talking once the engine engaged. Husband dashed back but car had already been taken away to be cleaned. He reported what had happened to senior person available and was told to make a report to company HQ on return home, which he did. They responded that nothing had been left in the car to which he replied immediately. No further reply has been received after 5 days and we are not expecting one now. They clearly do employ thieves and don't even care. Disgusting.
The whole experience was poor, extremely long wait at the airport on arrival, well in excess of an hour and only two people in front of us. Then comes the sell for extra insurance. They were not impressed that we had already bought extra cover. Car covered in bumps, scratches and dents. We photographed each one carefully making sure they were aware of what we were doing. Car was "OK" at best, small Peugeot, air conditioning inadequate and extremely difficult to put into reverse gear. Had some very difficult moments because of this. Cannot recommend.

It's true that the deposit was a little late, but after going to the office and politely asking for it, I got it right away. In my opinion they were very friendly, it was a good car, well taken care off. I took extra insurance for damages.. and I did make some damages which were repaired immediately without further expenses.

In general good experience, no complaints from my side.
