My wife had a baby here. The staff was accommodating before and during labor. We were impressed by Dr. Ju, who is fluent in English and very helpful. She even gave us her card as we neared delivery, to ensure we could receive appropriate language services in our time of need.
This clinic is advertised as a progressive, modern birthing center. (By the way Google, it's not just an abortion clinic.) Babies are delivered naturally if possible, and mothers are only given minimally invasive treatments (i.e. epidural, chemical inducement, etc.). We can attest that they stick to this system.
Here's the catch: after he was born, our baby was given about 45 minutes to spend with us while my wife recovered. They told us they were going to clean him up and do some tests, and they took him away. After that, I, the father, was not allowed to be in the same room with him until he left the clinic. His mother wasn't allowed to see him more than occasional, scheduled feedings (perhaps 3-4 times per day). The clinic supplemented his diet with formula without our consent during the most crucial stage of milk production, which caused some frustrating problems in his development over the following weeks.
We have yet to hear a solid reason why this procedure is common to this clinic, and it really marred our experience. As first-time parents in a foreign country we tried to think of every possible question to ask, but this seemed strange. It's not traditional and it's not progressive, and it earns the removal of a few stars.
