Staffs are professional about their job on guiding guest. I would recommend it. Especially after a long day of exploring Japan. The stress and fatigue just melt away when you sit yourself on the hot spring bath.

Great place and not too busy considering it's in a tourist zone. Very relaxing and the staff were friendly.

Entrance fee for guys is 1000yen. Has vending machines, lounge area, 2 hot indoor pools, 2 outdoor pools (hot and the other cold). You might mistaken the name for Arashiyama onsen in some websites but it's name is Fufunoyu onsen. Shampoo and body soap provided free.

Hey westerners read this!
So this was my first onsen experience, and boy was it one to remember. First off, there is very little English in there so be prepared to speak a little to get info or do what I did and wait around watching people and then doing what they did.
Here's the process: put shoes in locker and take the key, use the machine to buy your day ticket and towels, take the tickets to the front desk and give them your shoe key. They'll give you the towels (if you bought them) and they'll hold on to your shoe key and give you a locker key.
From this point out its very simple, find your gender and strip down. I stood there awkwardly wondering where the showers were, but a nice guy directed me to them (they're inside the bathing area). And thats it... provided you know how to use an onsen (google it).
Overall it was a great experience and I'm glad I did it here as it was fairly low key and quiet. The staff was pretty nonchalant, but the baths were well kept and clean. People inside were quiet, I didn't talk to anyone... not that I could have anyways, either way I preferred the silence. The outdoor area was really nice, and the salt water bath was where I spend most of my time. Again, I had a great time and it was well worth the price. Highly recommend.

Clean and fairly new public onsen with helpful staff. I liked the fact that they had an indoor and outdoor spring bath. Indoor spring pools are segregated into normal and carbonated. I liked simmering myself in the carbonated pool. Leaves my skin soft and smooth the day after.
The facilities also included a sauna and outdoor plunge pool. This is a plus point for me as I love saunas and and plunge pool as a part of me relaxing spa routine.
