Fantastic service (English speaking staff) and perfect setting for a private romantic dinner. The kaiseki option includes lots of food prepared in very different ways. My favorite was the tempura abalone!

Beautifully presented local cuisine. Not cheap but lunch sets start at ¥1900 (and end at a butt clenching ¥15,000). I was seated in a perfect place upstairs overlooking the street, sun streaming through the windows. Kimono clad waiting staff do their best to accommodate you in English and introduce all the dishes.

I had very nice lunch set here with my family. It's just around 1900-2900yen for small 京懷石. I love the cold noodle and the small cake which I haven't tasted before!

Not the cheapest lunch around, and the english menu is only available online, but the presentation of the food was great and the staff were very welcoming (although this is very typical in japan!)
