i did the n1 or pre-science programme in 2000-2001 at excelsior community college. was forced into it by my mother. when i told her i wanted to do A levels barely learned anything because it is a fast teaching program. this program cram 2 years of A-Levels into 1 year. which is 24 weeks. (12 weeks=1 semester) if you do n1 biology the labs are only drawing specimens and small organisms. even do the teaching is fast the chemistry labs are exciting where you do experiments. didn't do physics because i failed cxc physics because it is impossible to memorize all those formulas to do the necessary mathematical calculations.

The campus is absolutely beautiful. The grounds are well kept and it has everything one could ever wish for-its a country of its own. It's also insulated from the outside world which equals less stress

Doesn't seem to be very focused on students and their well being but rather focused on money. The experience is only good due to the students and some of the lecturers there. The staff, especially administrative staff, really needs "revising".

Teaching at the Physics department is first class as is Chemistry. Come and learn in Jamaica. I am loving it.
