Excellent monument of medieval culture and architecture. You are going to find wonderful frescoes of Spinello Aretino and Lorenzetti there. Must see place at Siena. Visitors are allowed to take non commercial photo without flash light.

This has got to be the biggest rip-off out of all the things I have done Italy. The big attraction is the allegory of the good and bad government which can be summarised without loss of information by the following sentence: "Good government results in good things and bad government results in bad things." I understand that this place represents a unique shift from Christian art/power to secular art/power in Siena but the art is just bad. Unless you have a specific interest in this transition, save your 10 euros and buy a ticket to the duomo (amazing), hike the belltower, or just treat yourself to a few extra gelatos.
