A nice hostel, lovely staff. Too far from the city for me and bus stops complicsted, especially trying to find after dark. Comes with a basic but very decent breakfast.

Great hostel. Staff were friendly. Really cool atmosphere. Nice bar and outdoor area. Has heaps going on for it. Loved our little stay. Rooms were tidy, shared showers were never hard to access. Good value for money. Free breakfast, however it wasn't great.

Great place to meet lots of strange, fun people. The atmosphere is incredibly friendly and welcoming, and the wine tasting and picnic at sunset in the Tuscan hills were delightful. My only complaint is that it could be a little cleaner, but I forgive them because it was super crazy for the Palio. Great hostel, I strongly recommend it!

Friendly staff, nice rooms, good breakfast. They organized a little picnic at a reasonable price for us guests, which was a nice way to meet other travelers and see the Tuscan country side. I would definitely stay here again and recommend it to others.

I am writing this review on behalf of a friend, she did not ask me too but because of my anger of the situation that has happened at the Siena Hostel, I feel like I need to voice my opinion because I believe it may keep happening if not. Women, especially traveling alone should not stay here. Someone known and staying at this hostel was able to get a hold of a key to my friends’ room, He tried to kiss her aggressively amongst the intent to try other things, she was able to get him out and barricade herself in her room until the next morning. She brought it to the hostel management attention to which they defended the man, saying she was drunk (WHICH IS STILL NO EXCUSE FOR THIS BEHAVIOR IF SHE WAS) and that they would call the police but lying is a huge offense. This is a tactic of manipulation in making the victim feel like it was their fault. No discount or anything was given to help her and her situation, as she still had another night paid there.
This is unacceptable and if the hostel does not take situations like this seriously then people should not support this business. I have lived in Italy, it’s my favorite place in the world but some men there can be aggressive. A nod, a smile, a simple hello is not enough for you to a touch woman, or to go into her hostel room without being invited. It is 2017, we women need to have a voice and not think that we did something to deserve such behavior. Siena hostel, I am severely disappointed in how you handled my friend.
If anyone wants to discuss this further, I have no problem speaking about it.
