Great pasta just off the main track and my daughter was celiac but good gluten free options and great service. Wine list looked pretty good too!

Excellent restaurant!!! It's a medieval palace with medieval cantina, top quality meals, good prices, possible to have medieval meal. Service at top!! Waiters very kind with guests!! A must if you come to Siena!!!

Gallo Nero is yet another great restaurant in Siena. The menu is varied, and clearly marked which options may be prepared gluten free (I'm a celiac). My wife and I shared a cheese platter, a GF version of pici with wild boar ragu (using GF tagliatelle instead of the pici), a venison main, and dark chocolate mousse. All dishes were fantastic. The service was good, great attitude from everyone despite how crazy busy it was (we ate on Palio night). Lastly, the atmosphere in dining room, with the decor and exposed brick is great. Would definitely go back.
