Amazing. Staff was great. We came here not having any expectations, and we are thrilled we did. We are celebrating our honeymoon and we hope to return just for this restaurant.

Really tasty and fresh meal. Lovely, bright interior despite being tucked away into a corner. Really nice service too.

When you come to Italy, you expect great food, but everything I ate from La Taverna exceeded my expectations. Delicious homemade pastas, the grilled sausage was outstanding as is or included in a pasta dish and the chocolate liqueur as a topping to vanilla ice was sensational.

Really nice restaurant in a stunning setting. Very popular with the tourist trade but that doesn't mean the food is bad. It's actually very good, in particular their lamb. The waiting staff are a little less friendly here we found, but they are noticeably busy. The dessert cart is a highlight.

My husband and I went to have dinner here tonight. The ambiance seemed OK, little bit tacky on the patio but were excited to try based on good reviews from Tripadvisor. As soon as we entered the outdated reception area we noticed the door to the kitchen open. Plates and dishes everywhere, really messy. We were "greeted" by the Manager ( I guess) very rudely, asked if we had reservations - we didn't, he huffed and left. He seemed very annoyed with us. He came back a few minutes later, told us to follow him and the actually dropped the menus on a table, and walked away. My husband and I looked at each other and felt very uncomfortable in the restaurant. Nobody greeted us or asked for waters, anything. We were interested to order wine, so we asked the same older tall man if there was a wine list- again he frantically wiped his brow and huffed, walked away to get it. We again felt very uncomfortable in his presence. When he came back we thanked him, he huffed.
Long story short- despite all of this awkwardness the menu seemed really thrown together, some things were taped over parts of the menu, ink was bleeding off you couldn't even decipher it. Dare we ask him what it meant. Needless to say we left without ordering.
