We used the rental car service of firefly at the end of September 2017 for 4 days and booked the cheapest car (Fiat Panda: 46 €). Surprisingly, we got a 4x4 Panda that was not cleaned. But because it was not that bad and the lady told us they just got the car back 1 hour before it was no problem for us.
We checked the car for scratches and found more than already recognized and it was added to the protocol.
Because of the bad reputation of firefly according to the google feedback we were very glad that at the end no problem occured. We are very satisfied including the shuttle service from and to the airport.
At the end we are wondering how this price works for the company. This seems very difficult without the offered additional insurances or expensive repair bills in case of possible damages to the car.

Terrible place. We didn't check the car before and now have to pay 170€ for a little mark. This includes a damage of 50€. Make sure you do a thorough check before. We ended up paying as much as we would have paid for the big rental firms.

Given dirty car and made to feel like we were asking for the world to moved when we brought this up. Also multiple damages to the vehicle which were covered by the dirt which eventually got cleaned off after they tried to give us a much smaller vehicle that was not suitable due to our luggage. Insisted that the car had to be sparkling clean on return of face another charge. Took about and hour to check vehicle out, not to mention not answering call when we had arrived at the airport. Note this is well off the airport in a shady office above a car dealers. Avoid.

Pros: Affordable prices.
Cons: Almost 3 hours we waited to have the car ready. Unfriendly staff. Located 3 km away from the airport. Shuttle car picks you up at a location that you only find out if you call them. My car was OK and I did not have to ask for support, but they did not strike me as a very responsive persons. I only recommend it if you are looking for one of the cheapest options.

Worst car rental experience of all time! A huge re-organization of the staff is necessary! Very unfriendly. Took about an hour to arrange evrything at the office. Went outside and the employee said he would be coming to check the car with me. After 15 minutes he was not there. I ask his co-worker, 'yeah, he was tired so went home' ?!?!?
Car was very dirty upon pick-up. After 30 km flat tire. They told me to arrange it myself and drive back to the office. Very rude and not nice went returning like it was my fault. Even said in the beginning I had to pay for the flat tire. Luckily that was changed quickly when I was about to call the police. Then received a other car. Awful looking car!
Upon returning the car came into the office, where two (!) clients were having quarrels with two different employees. And one of them was calling the police!
I hope this company will go bankrupt very soon, because this is a very bad first experience for people coming to Sardinia!
