My son and I were there in July. The pizza was very good and they have AC! Let me tell you, it was soooo hot and humid, the air conditioning helped a lot to make our experience great. The service was OK; down to business, no frills.

I first came here as a guest of the Italian military, and the pizza was by far one of the best i had eaten. Since then (2009) the food hasn't change too much and as such I still enjoy coming to this place every time I visit Napoli. Yet! The latest time I visited the establishment they had stopped serving Italian beer and started with german. In my opinion.... A big NO NO!
I first came here as a guest of the Italian military, and the pizza was by far one of the best i had eaten. Since then (2009) the food hasn't change too much and as such I still enjoy coming to this place every time I visit Napoli. Yet! The latest time I visited the establishment they had stopped serving Italian beer and started with german. In my opinion.... A big NO NO!

First pizza in Naples
This trip to Naples that day was specifically dedicated toward having my first Napoletano pizza. Everyone in the country says that Naples has the best pizza, and while it was good - it was, at least to me, nothing to write home about. I won't say that it wasn't good in its own right, very flavorful and very good dough - but it was again, nothing that made me jump for joy or at least out of my seat.
The prices seemed fair (average pizza as I recall was around 8 Euro or so), and there was ample amounts to choose from in terms of variety. I had pizza lasagna - mostly just because the name intrigued me. It was nothing at all like lasagna. With tomato sauce, cheese and ham, it resembled neither in form nor in taste to lasagna. I guess it's just a name.
The staff was not friendly, and I would encourage them to learn how to smile at their guests. My acquaintance told me it's because we were in Naples: I don't think that's a reasonable excuse.
The restaurant was freezing...and I don't think they had the heat on, on a terribly chilly day in January no less.
All things being equal it's not a bad place, and I certainly didn't dislike the pizza. I'd recommend it as it's the only place I've ever eaten in Naples and wouldn't discourage people from going, but just be prepared that the staff isn't outgoing, and the pizza isn't as good as you might be expecting it to be.

Pizza heaven. One of the best pizzas you will ever have
Don't wait hours across the road. Come here instead. Authentic and likely to get a seat (does still get busy)
