This is an amazing underground tour! The guides speak brilliant English and were able to give lots of information about how the tunnels were used during different periods of time (when they were used as water tanks, air raid shelters and a police car impound). This is the best thing to do in Naples-especially if you want to get out of the sunshine!
The tours are on Friday, Saturday and Sunday. Each tour lasts about an hour. You can also get a combo ticket with the Naples underground tour in the centro storico.

Excellent and original place to visit. It's digged tunnel where people took shelter during the war and that were used as water tanks.
Visit in English are available and were nicely done, thanks to our guide.

Interesting but lacking in both detail and history, made more of a "show" about the cars from the 60's than the war time shelters or the 1800's creation of the chambers/quarry.
Fascinating place to visit though.

I would ask for the different options as it's possible to do different tours which wasn't clear when purchasing tickets. However, the staff are all volunteers, they were very knowledgeable and provided us with a great tour

An amazing site to see! I had no idea what to expect even after reading Trip Advisor and I'm glad I was able to experience this tour!
Currently open on the weekends only, if you can make it, try, we arrived Sunday and purchased a ticket a few minutes prior to the open time slot. Check the website for times.
*The first 45 seconds is a dark narrow stairwell straight down but it OPENS up right after so if you fear small spaces with no sign of exit stay at the back of the group OR front so you can be first out. I wish I'd known that before the fear kicked in :).
It's a must see first when arriving in Naples!
