Book in advance if you can! We tried going one night and we were "rejected" immediately. Not even "try coming back later" and there was only two of us. Because we've heard good reviews, we went back the following night with a booking. The short menu was told by the waitress. When asked to see the menu, she said it was spoken. So we trusted her. We were also told we could order half a portion, which made us very happy. However, we were not adviced they only charge €2 less than the full dish (€10 for one filled calamari, for example). Meaning we paid a bigger check than what we were expecting. Something to take into account. Food was delicious, but this situation upset us quite a bit.

This place is really crowded. If you want to go there for a dinner - you definitely need to reserve a table. The prices are cheap, but menu is very short and we didn't like any of the dishes we ordered: seafood pasta, stewed octopus and some local (vegetable) soup. Only the wine was really good and really cheap. The service was not OK. We waited like 45 minutes for these simple dishes (the place was like 50% full), and another 20 minutes we waited for check. Eventually we went and paid at the cash desk.

Cellar restaurant with low ceilings. Daily menu with traditional, fresh food. Small but well chosen wine selection. Very reasonable prices.

Loved the food and price. Great penne and shrimp pasta also the pesto pasta too.
The restaurant it's self was below street level clean and had heaps of character.

Great food at hard to find prices! We paid only about €23 for a primi piati, a secondi and house wine. We found the service okay regardless of what everyone said (and we are obviously Asians) so I don't think they 'hate tourists'. Would definitely recommend if you're in the area! In fact, i am considering going back tomorrow!
