Room clean and good breakfast. This was our 3rd stop of 4 in Italy. We had stayed in a 3 star Sassi hotel in Matera and a Trulli in Alborobello, also 3 star and both very good. This 5 star hotel although really well located and perfectly acceptable wasn't as 5 star as expected. The shower is really annoying as it goes hot and cold while using it. The safe doesn't work and although we were told it would be repaired so far it hasn't been sorted out. The beds in the other 2 hotels were more comfortable too! It's a good hotel for a city break but not as plush as we were expecting.

This is a beautiful hotel with Old World elegance. Located within walking distance of major attractions and shops. The breakfast buffet offered much variety and the biggest selection of teas around the world I had ever seen in any buffet in Italy! I will definitely stay at the Patria Palace again given the opportunity.
