After few minutes we left the shop in Milan, we noticed the rubber of the windshield wiper was missing. We returned to the shop, but they said that, since we signed a paper that the car was ok, we should pay for it.
I have rented dozens of cars and never checked this kind of things. So if a small hidden piece of the engine was missing, I would have to pay for it too?
We stopped at a Mac Donald's for a quick lunch before we noticed it, but since it was all rounded by glass windows and we parked right in front of it, we would have noticed someone ripping the rubber out (which took at least one minute for the repair guy at the car parts shop to do).
We spent less than 30 euros to buy the rubber, but I lost some precious time arguing with them.
Better be a car specialist to check all thousands of pieces of the car if you intend to rent there...

They asked for 500 euro as safety deposit that they promissed to pay back in one month max. It's been more than a month and we haven't received the money back. We are trying to contact them by email and phone, but no success yet. The company in Milan is not answering at all and the company in UK is still looking into the issue.

They ask for a safety deposit, which is plausible, but they don't give it back. They took 3 months, calls, mails, visits and fights to give it back!
