Our dinner was an incredible experience at this gem. It is now run by the second and third generation and you will feel like family after your visit. Papa Paulino and Son Ricardo are an absolute joy.
And the food is a marvel. From the pasta bolognese to their veal dishes and their exquisite desserts - they were all exceptional - as is their espressos and wine list. The prices are extremely reasonable. This is one experience my husband and I will not forget.

Nice environment. Really friendly and welcoming staff. The food was really great. Lots of local dishes. Good wine too.

Trip back in time. Small place, warm service, and classical Italian food done with care and pride. Food prices are very fair, and the portions good sized. Tables very tightly packed, so avoid if you are looking for privacy, you're arm's length from the table next to you.

Food was great, local and felt homemade. However, cant give five stars, as prices for "daily specials" are quite high for tourists. Pain 15 eur for a five boiled asparagus as starter. Ask for prices before ordering.

We were in Bologna for a day and went to this restaurant on a recommendation from a friend. We loved the seasonal food selection, the wine and the father and son who run the place. They were knowledgeable and passionate about their food and wine, they had plenty of time to talk to all the customers (in Italian and English) even though the place was busy and didn't make us feel rushed. As we couldn't decide which starters we wanted, they me up a selection of everything for us all to taste and it was all delicious.
