The staff were friendly and helpful, but our check in was delayed by a malfunction of the key card system. The key card issue continued after we received them. The rooms are nice but I've slept in more comfortable beds. I wasn't expecting to be charged €12 for parking. If I'd spotted it in the small print I would've cancelled the booking and stayed at the Herbert Park Hotel instead for pretty much the same price.

We had a great few days in the Clayton Ballsbridge. The service was great, all the staff were so helpful if you needed anything. The breakfast on both mornings as excellent plenty of choice. We had one evening meal in the hotel and it was exquisite. My husband was taking place in the Dublin city marathon the hotel was in a perfect place for myself and my son to watch as all we had to do was go out to the front gates.

We stayed here October 2017 for 5 nights. We found our family room conveniently located on the ground floor. The beds were comfortable with lots of pillows. The room was clean. The shower was hot and powerful. Great blackout curtains. Wifi was free and good signal. The television network could be improved. The reception staff were wonderful. The bar area is stunning. More toilet roll needed for a family of 4 as we ran out twice.

We booked a week because my wife was to receive surgery in St Vincent's. She stayed before and after surgery hence the attentiveness and kindness of staff was much appreciated. Her condition meant that diet and cleanliness were important. We cannot say how much we valued the time spent at the hotel. We intend returning in 3-4 weeks time when she will be strong again to enjoy a short holiday. The location seems superb for that and we now we would enjoy it very much.
My only criticism is the lack of twin beds. We had to book a room with two double beds and next time intend trying an Executive Room with a King bed – but this is a handicap for us. This explains the 4-stars given for comfort of bed, although the double beds were really perfectly comfortable.

Firstly, the staff during all our interactions were efficient and friendly which is a major plus for any enterprise. However the quality of the accommodation was not up to what I consider four star standard. The booking was for two double beds, my room had a twin and double. Just two plugs located at the dressing table area so media devices had to be used in that one area. Had difficulty with the TV but got there eventually. No fridge, and no bottled water a very basic requirement. The bathroom had a minimum of three towels one of which was a hand towel. Shower in the bath, hard on anyone in their sixties or over. My son used the shower but no hot water. The location was good for our purposes. Overall I didn't consider it good value.
