Lovely food and give for a special night out

My wife and I decided to have lunch today at this restaurant and we were very disappointed with the food. The starters were just o.k. but the 2 main courses were awful. My wife's plaice was very small and she was still hungry when we had eaten. I had a sirloin steak which was full of gristle. When the waitress asked us if we had had a good meal .We both replied that we had not and explained why, she laughed at first and said that because our plates were empty we must have enjoyed the food! She said she would speak to the manager. I asked for my bill and when it came it was for the wrong table! We paid the bill and went to leave and as we were getting our coats the manager asked us what the problem was ? Again we explained the issues and were offered a dessert if we were still hungry which we declined.Overall not a good experience. I will not be back.

We had a delicious lunch here and several good French wines by the glass. Service was excellent. Nice list of European wines by the bottle.

Dined in Peploes to celebrate my daughters graduation and what a dining experience it was. Food was fabulous and the menu innovative and exciting with impeccable execution and taste. Wonderful and varied wine selection and the staff professional and extremely helpful which only added to the experience.

Great wine list.
The cheese plate was exactly what we wanted without having a large meal. Cosy yet open atmosphere.
I cannot praise the staff enough. We really enjoyed our evening at Peploe's!
I'll be back.
