One of the oldest cinema halls in the city. Remya cinema is a 3D screen. They renovated the whole complex couple of decades back. But technically it's an above average cinema hall. Need to be careful with the steep steps in the balcony section, especially for elderly citizens. Above average viewing experience. Owned and run by Muthoot Group. Less than 100 meters from MG road Trivandrum. Limited parking facility for four wheelers.
Enough for two wheelers.

The theatre is extremely old. The seats are very uncomfortable. The restrooms (both for men and women) are not fit to be used. The picture quality isn't great. They do not run the AC properly and make up with ceiling fans. The food is the worst quality and priced pretty high too. NEVER try the egg puff.
I mean, is this the 90's?

very old theater. not updated for decades. seats are pathetic. No leg space. Just like we went back to 1980. sound quality is bad. Washroom is tiny and dirty. Parking is available. Online booking available. Normal price.

Time has its thing on the theatre infra. Seats are bad. Screen is okay, speakers are audible but it is not that great.
One of the gents washrooms cannot be used by anyone who is more than 150-160 cms tall.
Snacks counter sells mediocre but edible items.
The underground ticket counter was probably designed by some architect who designs prisons, dark and one person can barely stand in there. I imagine hell will have queue counters like that.
There is good news folks, there are rumours that the management will do major refurbishing soon, till then we have to deal with this.

Both theatres are pretty old and needs to be refurbished. Steep sitting on the balcony. Try to book in the lower rows on the balcony to avoid looking down at a steep angle at the screen. Last few rows in the balcony give the feeling of sitting on a mountain and watching something down in the valley. Leg space is terribly small. Food is not good. Toilets are bad. Projection quality and sound are good, but not comparable to the latest screens in the city.
